Packed full of lime green, and bright orange abstract pieces of felt, this miniature needle art celebrates the joyful colours found in one of the world's most sunny places: Florida!
There are 5 concentric circular sections created on paper, 4 of which feature abstract shapes made with Gouache, pencil, and ink. The 5th, bottom right concentric circle features a kooky little shell that also resembles an imaginative space shuttle (which we'd love to climb into and zip our way over to the land of the sunshine, I'm sure!); this shell shuttle is the focus of the short poem below:
Florida Orange
It looks like a sky-shell
And moves like a space-belle
A nebulae shuttle
Oh, Heaven's above!
I think it's Our Orange belt!
The sea-shells and land-shells
~ It all looks the same!
Oh, Heaven's below!
In Floridan Orange
It's these colours all day!
The above quirky poem will be included, handwritten on a small piece of flat card
Measurements are taken at the widest points: maximum height 4.7", maximum width 4.6", and in places, the maximum depth is 0.5"
