Calling all sweet tooths! Step into my summery corner of the Art Trail at The Glass Onion, Sunderland, and get ready to feast your eyes (and maybe even imagine a taste!).
These miniature artworks are an explosion of flavour, inspired by the joy of indulging in our favourite desserts. Creating these quirky treats has been a blast – and guess what? As I write this, I'm finally off to reward myself with a real sugary masterpiece! I hope you're inspired to do the same ;)
About the Art:
Each piece is a meticulously crafted world, bursting with colour and texture. Using gouache paints, inks, and a sprinkle of magic (okay, maybe sequins and beads!), I've brought these miniature desserts to life on little panels. Each piece also boasts hand-stitched details, adding a touch of whimsical charm – a testament to the time and love poured into each piece (the smaller ones take around 7 hours from conception to completion, with the larger ones taking even longer).

“A great, big pudding
Out of such a tiny pot!
It’s best you do the right thing
And feed your hungry chops!”
