I've been working on this painting recently; it's on a lovely, deep wood panel, and the textile art around the edges works fabulously with the depth, making it heavily textured and giving it a unique and interesting character. It's difficult to know how experimental pieces like this will work out when you start - I never have a plan, they just seem to unfold in their own way as I go along.Â
Hoping to have it finished soon-ish. It will be in a lovely white box frame once it's completed.
No title as yet, but it will have a poem which I've yet to write. The coast up here in Sunderland is one of my favourite places to go to daydream whilst looking out towards that vast North Sea, so I'm really looking forward to writing some poetry to accompany this artwork, as well as getting the actual piece finished!
